Clubs

Teamwork creates great opportunities to enrich children's lives through shared endeavours, challenges and celebrations. Students can choose to participate in a host of activities, including:

Students gather once a week to work on friendship-building skills through a variety of activities and discussion opportunities.

Students in Grades 4-6 compete in running events against students from other St. Albert schools.

Students in Grades 4-6 spend three or four afternoons a year skiing at Rabbit Hill.

Our drama teacher leads students in a variety of theatre games and improvisational scenes.

Students plan games and activities for recess. They look out for anyone who may need a friend. The Friendship Bench near the small playground is a great place to meet new friends!

Students have the opportunity to receive support for homework before school at 8:15 a.m.  At 8:40 a.m. they are sent outside, as supervision begins.

Our phys. ed. teacher coaches Grade 6 students from Leo Nickerson to play against students from other St. Albert schools.

Students can spend their lunch recess in the library building Lego creations with their friends.

A variety of lunch recess intramurals are offered throughout the year. Most notably, LNHL (our Leo Nickerson Hockey League) offers multi-grade/program teams to compete for the ultimate prize: a final game against the Excited Educators - LN's teacher team!

Students can take part in lunch recess games to help keep recess experiences fun and conflict free!

Our school offers choirs for students in Grades 1-3 and Grades 4-6. Performances are held at school assemblies and on Leo Nickerson's choir tour.
